Umetarō was a woodblock printmaker whose art also included bookplates. More than ten of these bookplates featured flowers and (or) birds. Seventeen examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Umetarō drew his picture subjects in an unsophisticated way, simplifying their shapes and colors.
